Traveled 8hrs from Hazard,Ky to Chicago to see this show with one of my best friends, Liane. I can honestly say it was one of the best decisions of my life. That show was amazing.

A reminder to all who haven’t heard: THE MAGIC SCHOOL BUS WILL RIDE AGAIN…FUELED BY NETFLIX…IN 2016.
You read that right. Through Netflix’s acquisition of Scholastic, a 26-episode series will kick off in 2016, called The Magic School Bus 360°.
From the announcement via Mashable:

Netflix and Scholastic Media announced in a press statement that the new series will use CGI animation to feature a “modernized Ms. Frizzle" and an "inventive high-tech bus” — so it looks like the companies are not afraid to take chances and make mistakes (and probably get messy in the process). The very 21st-century show will also focus on modern tech innovations, including robotics and wearables.
“The all-new episodes also leverage advancements in animation, science and technology in a way that will delight a new generation of young viewers, and like its predecessor, will help kids around the world discover the magic and value of exploration and innovation,” a press statement reads.

Listen to the original Magic School Bus theme music
The Magic School Bus is the longest-running kids’ science series in history, first airing on PBS in 1994 and continuing in syndication for 18 consecutive years. It has even earned an Emmy Award. (Undoubtedly for Liz the Lizard’s acting.)
“Magic School Bus, the old version, is remarkably popular on Netflix,” Ted Sarandos, Netflix’s chief content officer told The New York Times. “It teaches science in a way that transcends generations.”
Scholastic Media has not yet announced if the original Ms. Frizzle, Lily Tomlin, will return to voice the character.

And from a similar announcement via CNN:

“To do an animated show that has actually encouraged young people to pursue careers in the sciences or teaching makes us very, very happy.”
— Forte, President, Scholastic Media

2016. The Magic School Bus. The original ship of the imagination.

Breaking news: The D.C. Appeals Court just killed Net Neutrality.

This could be the end of the Internet as we know it. But it doesn’t have to be.

Tell the FCC to restore Net Neutrality: http://bit.ly/1iOOjoe

they want to make the internet like tv. with channels and paying to get to specific websites and things. net neutrality = not doing that

This impacts every internet user. Please signal boost the hell out of this and sign the petition if you are American

I do not reblog things like this very often, but this affects me both personally and my business as a freelance artist.

In the economy here; cash is already strapped as it is. You bet your ass companies would suck the ever living life out of misc. art sites.

I don’t want it to ever come down to me choosing between groceries or purchasing a new tier package via comcast to be able to access tumblr or DeviantArt (let alone not guaranteeing I’ll even be seen by my customer base since they may not want to pay out their asses either). It doesn’t seem important to most, but I do 90% of my business online entirely.

Please sign up, fight for this and share it with your followers/friends/family and urge them to give them hell as well.

Not writing related, but this is incredibly important. While we pay for service via ISPs, the internet has been a relatively free space where everyone, no matter their income level, is able to connect, access a wealth of information, and express themselves. The Internet has become a major part of our culture as human beings and the notion that ISPs might be able to limit what sites I can access unless I pay them more is utterly sickening. A lot of us are cash strapped as is, and I’d rather not be limited even more by someone else’s greed. Net Neutrality is essential and I hope you guys will understand why it needs to remain.

-Morgan

P.S. Signal boost this if you’re able.

"Sometimes that’s just life though, don’t you think? Sometimes the crappiest things happen at the most unexpected times and you just have to take it for what it’s worth and realize that its not the end, that there is always the tiniest hole you can crawl through to get yourself out.”

I needed this quote today. <3

My friend wanted to paint her baby room into the Shire, so after about 3 months of tedious grass painting, we ended up with this :) Every inch of the walls is painted along with the ceiling! Needless to say, I am now very jealous of her kid…

people keep saying that facebook makes you depressed because your friends all look like they’re having fun without you but actually i think this kind of shit is probably the greater cause of it tbh

it’s the year 2014 and it’s time to stop acting like we’ve come a long way because the truth is society is just as primal and fucked up as it ever was except now there’s iPhones and Twitter and facebook to instantly share and further enable your bigotry

Thank you ^

THIS MAKES ME SO FUCKING ANGRY.

The men of Facebook have me losing faith every day

Today is September 4th 2014. It has now been 8 years since the death of one of my greatest heroes.Steven Robert Irwin. In that time, and unlike what my comforting mother, and friends assured me, it has not become easier. In the years since his passing I have watched as animal media feed into the hands of the uneducated, sensationalist, and often even cruel TV show hosts only content in showcasing the brutality, and deadly aspects of wildlife. I have seen no one step up to the plate, no one fill that void he left in the world. Consider this an open letter, to all those as tragically in love with the natural world as I. Get out there, be loud, show your self and your love to the world, educate, experience, and just and just freaking live. We are but one species on what may be the most biodiverse planet in the universe. So get up, and make some damn noise, lose the fear, and show them what you love.

"Because people want to save, the things that they love."

             We all miss you mate.

<3 He’s a big reason I have such a passion for animals. Thank you, Steve.

These Female Fox News Hosts Think Catcalling Is Perfectly Fine

A lot of people describe catcalling as something along the lines of “extremely inappropriate,” "sickening""unflattering" and “sexist.”

But what does Fox News think, you ask? It’s no big deal!

Watch the full infuriating  clip here.

keep in mind that the combined IQ of every Fox news anchor is like 2.
